GENERAL INFORMATION

Place of measurement of diameter of the cylinder

 


Piston measurement

PISTON KONUSNOST. To measure diameter of the piston at level of an axis of an opening under a finger and diameter of a skirt.

DIAMETER of the PISTON. To measure diameter of the piston in section which is below an opening axis under a finger on 19 mm.


Prevention

At installation of pistons it is necessary to check piston landing in the cylinder. Factory pistons and the pistons delivered as spare parts, have identical weight and can be established in the Engine without preliminary sorting and selection for weight Steadiness of the engine is not broken. If necessary it is possible to establish in separate cylinders and the pistons which were in the use if they are in a good condition.

In order to avoid violation of steadiness of the engine it is forbidden to grind pistons for smaller diameter.

Identification number of diameter of cylinders is put down about identification number of the engine.


To measure

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Piston. At wear or existence of other defects to replace with the piston of normal or increased diameter.
2. Cylinder opening, fig. Place of measurement of diameter of the cylinder. If necessary to restore working capacity boring and a honingovaniye for the repair size.
Prevention

3. To establish the piston in the cylinder.
Prevention

The piston and mirror of the cylinder should be dry.


4. Carefully to wash out a brush with soap solution a mirror of the cylinder and the piston. To remove all alien particles. To dry and grease with pure engine oil.
5. To check piston landing in a cylinder opening.
5а. To measure diameter of the cylinder by a micrometer with a telescopic bar.

5г. To compare the received value of a gap to the demanded.
5д. To define suitability of the piston for this cylinder.
6. If the piston which was in the use does not approach, to pick up the new piston. (In spare parts pistons both normal, and the increased repair sizes) are delivered.
7. If the mirror of the cylinder is subject to processing, it is necessary to measure the new piston and to finish a honingovaniye diameter of the cylinder till the necessary size.
8. To mark the new piston with serial number of the cylinder for which it is intended. (On some engines pistons with diameter increased by 0,25 mm) can be established.
9. Carefully to wash out a brush with soap solution a mirror of the cylinder and the piston. To remove all alien particles. To dry and grease with pure engine oil.
