2.34. Repair of the oil pump

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

At repair of the oil pump it is necessary to clear the oil pallet of dirt, to replace the oil filter and to replace engine oil fresh.


To disassemble

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To merge oil from the pump.
2. A reception branch pipe assembled with the filter.
3. Pump cover.
4. Pump gear wheels.
5. Reduktsionny valve:
      – stopper or шплинт:
      – spring;
      – valve. If the valve is not taken out, отмочить the pump case in solvent for carburetor cleaning.
Prevention

The spring of the valve has a preliminary tightness. In order to avoid a travmirovaniye it is necessary to show care at dismantle of a stopper or шплинта.



To clear

PERFORMANCE ORDER
All details from dirt, oil and deposits. It is possible to remove strong deposits, отмочив details in solvent for carburetor cleaning.
Prevention

In order to avoid poisoning it is necessary to avoid steam inhalation and contact of solvent to open sites of a body.



To check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Existence of extraneous particles to find out the hit reasons.
2. The case of the pump and a cover on existence:
      – cracks;
      – scratches;
      – defects of molding;
      – the damaged carving openings.
The case of the pump is not subject to repair. In the presence of defects to replace the case.
3. A shaft of an intermediate gear wheel if it is available. At leaky interface to replace the pump or a cover of a belt of a drive of a camshaft (depending on engine type).
4. The Reduktsionny valve on existence:
      – scratches;
      – jamming traces.
It is necessary to remove dents and agnails with thin grinding whetstone.
5. Spring of the reduktsionny valve
      – on elasticity loss;
      – bend.
In the presence of defects to replace a spring.
6. A reception branch pipe assembled with the filter on existence:
      – thinnesses if the branch pipe is pressed in the pump case. If the branch pipe demountable or was dismantled, to replace a branch pipe assembled with the filter;
      – damages of the mesh reception filter.
7. Gear wheels on existence:
      – material vykrashivaniye;
      – задиров;
      – wear.
8. A power shaft on existence:
      – thinnesses in interfaces;
      – wear.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To grease all internal details of the pump with engine oil.
2. Pump gear wheels. The label of a gear wheel should be from a cover of a drive of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye.
Prevention

In order to avoid damage of the engine it is necessary to fill before installation of gear wheels all cavities oil го the pump konsistentny mineral greasing for ensuring absorption of oil and its giving in system of greasing of the engine.


3. Cover and laying.
Prevention

In order to avoid damages of the engine it is necessary to use only firm factory laying. The thickness of laying is very important for normal operation of the oil pump.


4. Reduktsionny valve and spring.
5. Stopper.
Prevention

To put on a stopper carving condensing structure of "Loctite 573" or similar to it. To tighten a stopper of the reduktsionny valve (if it is available) the moment of 30 Nanometers.



To check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To dismantle the sensor of pressure of oil and to attach on its place a manometer.
2. To start the Engine and to measure pressure of oil.
Prevention

If pressure of oil is not established at once at normal level, it is necessary to remove the oil pallet and to check connection of the pump with a reception branch pipe. If necessary to dismantle and disassemble the pump, to fill cavities of the pump and again to assemble the pump. Operation of the engine in the absence of pressure of oil will lead to serious damages of the engine.
