6.13. Generator


Unlike other three-phase cars on the CS-121 generator only two conclusions are used: for a plusovy wire (-) and for the plug L of a signaling device of the category of the battery. The plugs P, I, S are additional. The conclusion of the plug P is connected to a winding of a stator and can be used for work of a tachometer or other devices. As well as on other cars, the signaling device of the category of the battery lights up at ignition inclusion. After engine start-up the signaling device should go out. If the indicator was not switched off after engine start-up, the generator is faulty. The indicator burns with full heat at strong increase or a voltage reduction in an electric network.

The regulator of tension operates a current of excitement of an anchor for tension stabilization in the car power supply network. The regulator periodically (with frequency about 400 Hz) switches on and off a current in a winding of excitement of the generator. Average size of a current in a winding of excitement and tension of the generator depend on a ratio of dlitelnost of phases of inclusion and current switching off. At high frequency of rotation of an anchor duration of a phase of inclusion of a current decreases to 10 % of the period, and on small frequency increases to 90 % of the period.
