19.2. Air central air

GENERAL INFORMATION

When using in central air of air of a coolant of HFC-134a (by the special order).

The coolant of HFC-134a (R-134a) is applied in common with the special PAG refrigerating oil intended for greasing of knots of a friction of the refrigerating unit. This coolant is not compatible to a coolant of CFC-12 (R-12) and mineral oils. It is forbidden to use coolant R-12 and lubricant oils on a mineral basis in central airs of air (KB) working at a coolant of HFC-134a (R-134a). It is forbidden to apply to these KB systems also the service equipment intended for conditioners, filled with coolant R-12. Otherwise the conditioner or the service equipment will fail. For service of conditioners of air where coolant R-134a is used, it is necessary to apply only the equipment corresponding to requirements of the SAE J2210 standard.


Prevention

Contact to pairs and air suspensions of a coolant and refrigerating oil can lead to irritation of a mucous membrane of eyes, a nose and a throat. Avoid steam inhalation and suspensions of a coolant and refrigerating oil. At casual leakage of a coolant from KB system air a working room before continuing work. The conditioner of air working at coolant R-134a, and the corresponding service equipment is forbidden for checking on tightness by means of the compressed air.

The air mix with coolant R-134a at an elevated pressure is inflammable and can blow up. Heavy traumas of people and a big material damage are thus possible. Never check by means of the compressed air the service equipment and the conditioners of air filled with coolant R-134a.
