Replacement of oil and the oil filter in the engine

Oil replacement in the engine should be made depending on two factors: sizes of run of the car and длительнос ти oil uses in the engine. It is caused by that properties of oil worsen not only at operation of the engine in use the car, but also because of natural aging of oil. At car operation in the difficult conditions connected with frequent start-up of the cold engine or prevailing movement in an intensive city transport stream with frequent stops, periodicity of replacement of engine oil and the oil filter should be reduced in comparison with specified in regulations of maintenance of the car. The oil filter is subject to replacement on new at the same time with oil replacement in the engine.

Periodicity of replacement of oil

Through each 10000 km of run or 6 months (through 5000 km of run or 3 months in difficult service conditions).

Volume – 3,75 l (including the oil filter).

To the difficult service conditions demanding more frequent replacement of engine oil, cases when belong:

  – short trips range to 6 km prevail;
  – short trips range to 16 km prevail at negative temperatures of air;
  – trips with frequent останов to Kama and long operation of the engine idling prevail, and also at car movement on small speed (for example, in the conditions of city movement);
  – operation of the car is made in the dusty district.

Check of level of oil in the engine

Take out measuring щуп from the engine and wipe it pure rags. Then insert щуп into place, having lowered it against the stop, and again take out. Level of oil should be between labels the MOVE and MIN. Visually check also oil on existence of pollution and extraneous impurity.


Level of oil should not exceed MAH label on щупе. Unduly high level of oil leads to increase in a consumption of oil at the expense of burning out on waste, a zamaslivaniya of spark plugs and to increased formation of a deposit.


At доливе oils in the Engine apply the same oil that was filled in in the Engine at the last replacement.
Prevention

Check of level of oil in the engine should be carried out when parking car on a horizontal equal platform (before engine start).
If the Engine works, muffle it and wait for about 5 minutes before checking oil level. This pause is necessary in order that oil flew down in the pallet of a case of the engine.

Long and frequent contacts of open sites of a body to the fulfilled engine oil can lead to various skin diseases, including dermatitis and malignant tumors of skin. Therefore it is necessary to avoid excessive contacts to oil and after work carefully to wash away from pollution skin.
